Self drilling screws have a drilling tek point. Serrated pan heads are rouned head with vertical sides and serration for anti-loosening. Star drive is also called Torx drive, designed to minimize the risk of cam-out (stripping). Special coarse+Sawtood threads can drill itself into the wood fast.
